There was a time when our founder had nowhere to call home, living on Wards Island in New York. Even in those harsh circumstances, he knew he had to find a way to support himself. With grit and determination, he joined a friend at a wholesale market and started buying socks and TShirts to sell. What began as a modest side hustle quickly became his lifeline.
Finding Stability and Community
Eventually, our founder found stable housing, but his journey didn't stop there. He continued selling in his neighborhood, and to his surprise, the community rallied around him. People supported him not just as customers, but as neighbors who believed in his vision and his efforts.
Learning the Craft
As our founder grew his business, he was also learning the ropes. He mastered the essentials—how to source products, connect with customers, and cultivate meaningful relationships. His entrepreneurial journey truly took off on Thanksgiving Day in 2004, the moment he took the first step toward building something lasting.
